Heartburn Part 2

Hi again,

Lots of people were interested in my heartburn topic, so as this is such an important topic area, I decided to review a few ebooks on the subject of heartburn and anti acid reflux treatments and put up a quick website.

Today many people work so hard in stressful situations we forget that our bodies need maintenance. If you don't maintain a car it will breakdown sooner or later. Our bodies are the same, so if you neglect your health eventually there will be consequences!

Some very simple things you can do if if you suffer from heartburn. Cut down on strong coffee, chocolate and of course the booze. Regular small meals that don't distend the stomach are better than big ones. The S word cuts down on the fags! Well it is that time of the year for resolutions!

Indigestion - is sometimes confused with heartburn/reflux discomfort. If the pain and discomfort is confined to the upper abdomen only that is heartburn. When your stomach is bloated with food and you want nothing else in the world to sit back in a reclining chair and belch, this is indigestion. Lifestyle as I have mentioned already (such as excessive stress and smoking) can contribute to this problem, as can certain medical problems, such as stomach ulcers.

NB. Persistent upper body pain can be associated with heart problems. SO DON'T take anti acid tablets like Pepcid or Lamoprazole for more than two weeks, please seek help from a medical health practitioner. This article is more about finding simple traditional remedies. Medication will always have its proper place within a structured anti reflux treatment plan.

When researching this topic, I was amused to find apples were a traditional cure for heartburn. Remember "An an apple a day keeps the doctor away", well when it comes to heartburn, there is some truth in this.

If this issue affects you, family member, or a friend please check out the website:
